Greg is the head of Callan's Fund Sponsor Consulting group.
Gregory F. DeForrest, CFA, is an executive vice president and head of Fund Sponsor Consulting. Greg works with a variety of clients, including corporate and public defined benefit plans, corporate defined contribution plans, insurance companies, taxable trusts, endowments, and foundations to develop, implement, and monitor their plan-specific objectives.
Greg also oversees the West Coast consulting team and is a member of the Management Committee, Manager Search Committee, and Institute Advisory Committee. He is a shareholder of the firm.
Greg joined Callan in 1998 as a member of Callan’s Client Report Services. He then joined the Global Manager Research group in 2001 as a fixed income specialist and went on to manage the group in 2007. In 2009, he joined the West Coast consulting team as an investment consultant and became the group’s manager in 2014.
Greg received a BA from Villanova University. He is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society San Francisco.
