Doug contributes to the legal and compliance work related to the Trust Advisory Group.
Douglas. B. Grochowski is a senior vice president in the Trust Advisory Group. He contributes to the day-to-day functions of the group, working with clients, reporting, monitoring, and custodian oversight. He also contributes to the legal and compliance work related to the group. He is a member of the Operational Due Diligence Review Committee and a shareholder of the firm.
Prior to joining Callan in 2016, Doug worked for Wilmington Trust as the director of collective fund services and as responsible for the creation and growth of the collective fund team. This included the implementation of new fund accounting and reporting software, as well as developing industry leading policies and procedures. He was responsible for the audits and financial statements for over 100 collective funds and the reconciliation of over 1,000 client accounts. Doug also oversaw the NSCC trading, operations, and revenue collection teams during his time with Wilmington Trust. Assets in the collective funds grew over $10 billion and reconciliation times were reduced from 90 days to 30 days during his tenure. In addition, revenue collection was decreased over 90%.
Doug also served as a relationship manager for the Collective Fund Services team at SEI. While at SEI, he was part of a team that converted over $11 billion in assets to the SEI book of business.
Doug has also built and run fund accounting and operations teams with previous employers, including Legg Mason and AST Trust Company.
Doug graduated with a BS in finance from the University of Delaware and earned an MS in forensic studies (accounting) from Stevenson University.
