Daniel focuses on private credit research as a member of Callan's Private Markets Consulting Group.
Daniel Brown is an assistant vice president on Callan’s Private Credit Consulting Team. Daniel joined Callan in 2023, and his work spans strategic planning, portfolio construction, manager due diligence, and ongoing monitoring. Daniel has broad research responsibilities across private credit strategies, including direct lending, specialty finance, opportunistic credit, distressed, and multi-strategy funds. He supports multiple private credit clients, providing strategic guidance on the development and implementation of their programs.
Prior to joining Callan, Daniel was a private markets consultant with Lionpoint Group and held various positions at iCapital and Abbott Capital Management.
Daniel earned a BBA in finance from Baruch College, where he was a member of the National Association of Black Accountants.
