Munir co-leads open-end real estate research and leads global real estate securities and daily valued real estate.
Munir Iman is a senior vice president in Callan’s Real Assets Consulting group, leading the research of global real estate securities and daily valued real estate, as well as co-leading open-end real estate strategies. He is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of real assets portfolios, with a focus on evaluating investment managers and their real estate strategies on behalf of plan sponsor clients. His due diligence process involves engaging directly with managers to assess investment approaches, track records, organizational structures, and overall alignment with client objectives.
Munir is a shareholder of the firm and co-leader and co-founder of Callan’s Mosaic Employee Resource Group. Outside of Callan, he is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) Rising Leaders Committee.
Munir joined Callan in 2011 as an analyst in the Client Report Services group, where he was responsible for calculating investment returns and producing comprehensive monthly and quarterly performance reports to support accurate portfolio evaluation and informed decision-making.
Munir graduated from Santa Clara University with a BS in finance and was a member of the rugby team.
