John P. Jackson, CFA, is a senior vice president and consultant in Callan's Chicago office and has nearly 30 of experience in the pension and investment industry. John works with a variety of clients, including defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, and multi-employer plans. His responsibilities include strategic planning, implementation, performance evaluation, and continuing education. John is a member of Callan's Client Policy Review Committee and a shareholder of the firm.
Prior to Callan, John was director and senior consultant for Asset Consulting Group in St. Louis, where he worked with public, insurance, and nonprofit institutions. Previously, John was a principal and senior consultant at DeMarche Associates, working with corporate and nonprofits to develop customized investment solutions. He has also worked with institutional clients at Northern Trust in Chicago and Boatmen's Trust Company in St. Louis.
John earned a Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis, as well as an M.B.A. from the John Olin School Business at Washington University. He also attended the University of Illinois where he earned a B.A. in political science. John is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation from CFA Institute and is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago.
