Jana is a vendor search subject matter expert in Callan's Defined Contribution Consulting group.
Jana Steele is a senior vice president and consultant in Callan’s Defined Contribution Consulting group, providing support to Callan’s DC clients and consultants. As a vendor search subject matter expert, Jana coordinates vendor monitoring projects, vendor searches, benchmarking studies, and DC plan design. She has also led the development of financial wellness product assessments and supported client financial wellness program objective setting and design. Jana is a member of Callan’s Operational Due Diligence Review Committee and is a shareholder of the firm.
Jana has been in the consulting industry since 1999 working with qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, including plan design, vendor management, vendor searches, fee benchmarking, data security analysis, and compliance support. Prior to joining Callan in 2017, she was a consultant and vendor database manager at Willis Towers Watson, and served as a vendor liaison for multiple vendors. Jana also created educational and/or marketing materials on various issues relating to qualified plans and nonqualified plans for internal and external audiences.
Jana received a BS from Utah State University in political science, where she was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha (national political science honor society), member of PSA Executive Council and PSA Vice President, and member of ASUSU Student Advisory Council.
