David provides due diligence and analysis to Callan's IAG clients.
David Welsch, CFA, is a senior vice president in Callan’s Independent Adviser Group (IAG). David provides investment manager due diligence and analysis to the IAG team and firms. David also assists with client servicing and analytical support to various Callan financial intermediary clients. He is a shareholder of the firm.
Prior to joining Callan in 2017, David was a member of the Investment Strategy Group at Baker Street Advisors, a San Francisco-based investment advisory firm. At Baker Street, David was responsible for sourcing new investments and providing research coverage across several investment areas, including credit, hedge funds, and real estate strategies.
Prior to joining Baker Street in 2013, David supported the consultant relations efforts of Wellington Management Company in the firm’s West Coast (San Francisco) offices. Prior to that, David held product marketing and operational roles at State Street Global Advisors and Bank of New York Mellon (respectively).
David graduated from Colgate University with a bachelor’s in economics. He is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation is a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society San Francisco.
