Corey conducts investment manager due diligence with a focus on domestic equity managers for Callan's Independent Adviser Group.
Corey R. Schier is a senior vice president in Callan’s Independent Adviser Group. He is responsible for conducting investment manager due diligence with a focus on domestic equity managers and providing client service to all IAG members.
Corey conducts regular meetings with investment managers to discuss the organization, team, investment process, risk management, and performance of strategies. He often assists clients with manager evaluation and structures, as well as with broad market research. Additionally, he is the IAG Middle Market Matrix (MAX) coordinator and has oversight responsibilities for the Callan UMA program.
Notably, Corey is a founding member of Callan’s Operational Due Diligence Review Committee and a shareholder of the firm.
Prior to joining Callan in 2017, Corey was a senior consultant at Aon Investment Consulting where he served as a member of its global manager research team. During his 16 years at Aon, he held various roles and his responsibilities included manager research, manager structure, asset allocation, thought leadership, and client service. His primary coverage was U.S. and non-U.S. equities, but he also covered alternatives during his career.
Corey holds a BBA in finance from the University of Georgia-Terry College of Business.
