Alexander C. Browning is a senior vice president in Callan’s Denver consulting office. Alex works with a variety of clients, including public defined benefit plans, insurance companies, foundations, and family offices. His responsibilities include strategic planning, implementation, performance evaluation, and continuing education. Alex is a member of Callan’s Nonprofit Group, as well as the Alternatives Review and Research Oversight committees. He is a shareholder of the firm.
Prior to joining Callan in 2015, Alex worked for Wilshire Consulting where he helped launch the non-discretionary hedge fund advisory business. Prior to that, he worked as a general consultant. Alex started his career at Wilshire Consulting in 2006 in its capital markets research group publishing white papers and developing and maintaining beta models. Alex began his career in finance in 1999 at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
Alex holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BS in economics from the University of Oregon.
