Launched in 1980, the Callan Institute was the first forum created specifically for providing education to institutional investors.
Each year we offer live events and webinars for our clients, including: National Conference, January, San Francisco; Workshops in June and October, various locations; and the Fall Investment Manager Conference, September, San Francisco Bay Area. The National Conference consists of general sessions with presentations by world, political, arts, science, and investment industry speakers. The general sessions are followed by smaller breakout sessions on timely industry topics led by Callan specialists. Attendees include plan/fund sponsors, investment managers, and Callan associates.
Workshops are typically breakfast sessions focused on a particular investment topic or issue, and the Fall Conference offers educational sessions geared toward investment managers. It is conducive to in-depth discussions with industry colleagues and Callan professionals.
The “Callan College” provides a foundation of knowledge for industry professionals who are involved in the investment decision-making process.
The Center for Investment Training, better known as the “Callan College”, was founded in 1994 to provide clients and non-clients alike with basic- to intermediate-level instruction.
