Cook County and Forest Preserve Employees’ Pension Fund: Private Credit RFP
The Retirement Board for the County Employees’ & Officers’ Annuity & Benefit Fund of Cook County is conducting a search and accepting proposals from qualified investment manager firms currently offering private credit-related strategies.
The objective of this search is to construct a broadly diversified portfolio of private credit strategies suitable for an institutional investor that is expected to outperform the private credit portfolio benchmark over a full credit cycle.
The following strategy types shall be considered:
- Open-end (evergreen) and closed-end (drawdown) vehicles
- Strategy types include direct lending; specialty finance; asset-based lending; and opportunistic/distressed, as well as credit secondaries. Multi-strategy funds that invest in multiple strategy types will be considered.
- Funds-of-funds may be considered if they provide efficient exposure to certain strategies that may otherwise be difficult to invest in directly, including niche strategies, co-investments, and/or emerging managers
