Callan’s Published Research Group is responsible for creating, managing and distributing research generated by Callan professionals to our clients. Members of this team have research, consulting, editorial, and media design experience.

Published Research Group Bios

Tanja R. Eisenhardt, Graphic Media Designer

Tanja Eisenhardt is a Graphic Media Designer in Callan's Published Research Group. Tanja is responsible for the graphic design of all Callan publications, marketing materials and newsletters, including the Capital Market Review. Tanja joined Callan in 1996 as a Communications Specialist in Corporate Communications. Before joining Callan, Tanja was an assistant manager of the Database Division at PLM International Inc., an asset management firm.

Tanja received an A.S. in computer science from City College of San Francisco.

Mary Schaefer, Vice President and Managing Editor

Mary Schaefer is a Vice President and Managing Editor of the Published Research Group. Mary is responsible for implementing the group's overall editorial direction and leading its marketing efforts. She is involved in all aspects of production - creating and developing new products; writing, editing and design. Mary also oversees Callan Insights, the firm's online news service covering the institutional investment management community, which she launched in 2000. Her other responsibilities include serving as Editor-in-Chief of the firm's four quarterly newsletters: Capital Market Review, DC Observer, Hedge Fund Monitor and Private Market Trends.  She is a shareholder with the firm.

Prior to joining Callan in 2000, Mary worked for AGENCY.COM, an Internet consulting firm. Her other experience includes working at Chevron Corp., for Money magazine and The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.

Mary earned a B.A. in Journalism from San Francisco State University.

Inga B. Sweet, Senior VP & Manager

Inga B. Sweet is a Senior Vice President and Manager of Callan's Published Research Group.  She is responsible for overseeing the development of white papers, statistical surveys and quarterly periodicals created by Callan's general and research consultants for clients and distributed by the Callan Investments Institute.  She also conducts the analysis and is the author of the Style, Trend, Analysis and Research (STAR) reports.  She is a shareholder of the firm.

Inga joined Callan Associates in 1991 as an analyst in the International Consulting Services group, and until 1998, was responsible for manager research, analysis and manager structure work.  From 1998 through 2007, she held a several positions within the Institutional Consulting Group where she provided consulting and research services to investment manager clients.Inga graduated from George Washington University with a B.A. in International Relations.

Anna S. Wagner, Research Analyst

Anna S. Wagner is a Research Analyst in the Published Research Group. Anna is responsible for generating research and collaborating on the creation and distribution of Callan's industry white papers and newsletters. She also conducts, analyzes and authors Callan surveys, such as the Investment Management Compensation Survey. Her other responsibilities include overseeing multiple quarterly reports and semi-annual or annual projects. Anna joined Callan in August 2006 as a Communications Assistant with the Callan Investments Institute. Prior to joining Callan Associates, Anna was with Vail Resorts, Inc. working in the front office division of Keystone and Breckenridge Resorts.

Anna earned a B.A. in International Business and French from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and is currently pursuing an M.B.A. at the University of San Francisco
